I have attached the assignment file below Along with screenshots of the citation guide for the bibliography. I really have trouble working with this and I need help. It would be great to have it done by tomorrow at 4pm EST. I do bit have much money to pay but I hope $10 is fine for this assignment.

HIST 124 US History to 1865 Runaway Slave Advertisements This assignment is due at 5:00pm on October 4th. It should be typed, double-spaced, and not more than four pages in length. Your paper must also include an additional bibliography page. Please use the Times New Roman font in 12-point type with not more than one-inch margins. This assignment does not have to be in essay form – you may complete it in sections. Please note: completing in sections does NOT mean you may use outlines, bullet points or other abbreviated forms of writing. You must still write in paragraphs and complete sentences. The Honor Principle applies to completing this assignment – you may not consult or discuss it with anyone inside or outside of class in completing it. This should be your work and no one else’s. You must use the Citation Guide formats for citing and quoting sources and providing a bibliography. The Citation Guide is posted on the HIST 124 Canvas page at the top of the Modules page under “HIST 124 Syllabus and Assignment Guidelines.” You are required to post it to the course Canvas page in a Word file. If you are new to uploading assignments to Canvas, please watch the short video on how to do this, which can be found here: https://onlinelearning.wilson.edu/courses/21/pages/assignments?module_item_id=1059 Or look at the directions posted here: https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10663-421254353 Here is a link for converting documents to a Word format: https://cloudconvert.com/pages-to-pdf This link provides information on converting Pages documents from the Mac-only word processor to MS Word: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202227 One of the ways enslaved persons dealt with their enslavement was to run away, become fugitives. In colonial America, slaveowners sometimes published advertisements looking for runaways. These can be used to get more information about those enslaved in the American colonies and their experiences. You are expected to make use of relevant information in the Nash text in writing this paper. You must also listen to the audio and read the materials assigned for the September 27-8 class session on analyzing runaway slave advertisements. The audio and powerpoint for this class session will be taken down at 5:00pm on September 28th so be sure to listen to it before then. You will be working with 18th-century advertisements available on two websites: 1. “The Geography of Slavery in Virginia” http://www2.vcdh.virginia.edu/gos/browse/browse1730s.php 2. “North Carolina Runaway Slave Advertisements” http://libcdm1.uncg.edu/cdm/landingpage/collection/RAS The focus of this assignment is on ads for runaway slaves. Some of the ads deal with servants (meaning indentured servants) or convicts. These were generally white people, and the focus of the assignment is to look at those enslaved, who were African or African-American. You must select ads that date from before December 31st 1770. The 1770 cut-off date is because the goal here is to focus on the colonial period; by 1770 we are moving into the period of the American Revolution. If you use ads that date after December 31 1770, or ads about servants or convicts, you will lose points on your grade for this assignment. This assignment must discuss the following: 1. Select three advertisements dating before December 31st 1770. What kinds of information do these ads contain? What do they tell us about the condition of the slave, what the slaveowner knows about the slave and anything else? If mentioned, how is the race of the runaway slave described? Choose wisely! 2. Select three advertisements (these can be the ones used in answering question 1, or you can use different ones). What can you infer about what might have motivated the slave to run away? And is there any information that might indicate whether they might succeed in their escape attempt? Again, choose wisely! How to cite these sources: From the Geography of Slavery Database: “Runaway Slave: Jasper.” Virginia Gazette (Hunter), Williamsburg, August 14, 1752. The Geography of Slavery. http://www2.vcdh.virginia.edu/gos/search/relatedAd.php?adFile=rg52.xml&adId=v1752080116. From the North Carolina Runaway Slave Advertisements Database: “Five Pounds Reward.” North-Carolina Magazine or Universal Intelligencer [New Bern], July 6, 1764. North Carolina Runaway Slave Advertisements, 1751-1840. http://libcdm1.uncg.edu/cdm/singleitem/collection/RAS/id/1968/rec/2 The link provided in your bibliographic entry should be to the ad itself, not the larger search page. Always provide the date and name of the newspaper the ad came from. A good bibliographic entry should make it easy for the professor to find the source you are citing. Use your common sense to craft a shorter citation for use in your text. For example (Jasper, August 1752) or (Five Pounds, 1764), which should direct me to the correct bibliographic entry at the end of your paper.
